My name is Judith Evans and I set up Hairy McChairy and his company of bags during lockdown when the music profession was mothballed for a couple of years (I was previously a classical double bass player).

Initially I trained in traditional upholstery which uses animal hair, as opposed to the foam used in more modern techniques - hence the Hairy McChairy. From there I began using larger offcuts of upholstery fabric to create bags that were both practical and beautiful.

All my bags are fully lined, have a phone and purse pocket and close with trimmings from V V Rouleaux. They are washable and made to last. I love making them and I hope you will love your new companion.
